This office building lobby had been recently renovated, but a new owner viewed the lobby as sterile and cold. The design team was given the challenge of energizing the lobby spaces, but in a cost effective way. The existing lobby was well detailed and had quality materials, but potential was discovered in the existing architectural features and color was used to accent them and add energy to the space. Seating areas were designed to give tenants and visitors areas for relaxation or a place for impromptu meetings. Free-standing light kiosks were added to highlight the seating areas and up-light fixtures were added to brighten elevator lobbies.
