The Antero Block A Offices are located on three floors at 1881 16th Street. The 36,000 sf of office space is connected to the original headquarters building at One Union Station by a bridge, which allows the two buildings to operate seamlessly as a single headquarters facility.
The interior design of the office space features a three-story open staircase which connects the three levels and features Nevada Metaquartzite Stone for durability and ease of maintenance. A flexible office environment was implemented using furniture walls for private offices and modular open workstations for staff areas. The office space can be re-configured without the disruption and cost of standard tenant finish construction. A 3-foot module was utilized in the planning to provide for future adaptability and to provide a standard “kit of parts” which can be used in a variety of configurations.
The space design gives all staff a visual connection the outdoors and the benefit of natural daylighting. All furniture walls are magnetic to hold maps, and writable to allow for collaboration sessions and communication among teams. The offices are glass fronted, and the sizes are 9 feet by 9 feet for Managers or 12 feet by 15 feet for Directors. Workstations are 6 feet by 6 feet with a variety of panel heights to suit the needs of the individual departments. All desks are height adjustable, and ample storage is provided for occupants.
Employee Engagement, Collaboration and Innovation were the design goals, and collaboration spaces of varying sizes are distributed throughout the space and outfitted with conferencing technology such as smart boards for interactive work sessions with distant production sites.
